◎Yilan Alumni Association - Chairman Chih-Wen Shih

In celebration of the 128th anniversary of our alma mater, the Yilan County Alumni Association organized alumni’s art exhibitionthe, “Artistic Spirit of National Taipei University of Education, Shining at Langyang” . The event aimed to bring together alumni with a passion for art, providing a platform to reminisce about the warmth and beautiful memories of our school days. It also sought to foster the creative endeavors of our alumni in fields such as fine arts and crafts, showcasing and perpetuating the rich artistic heritage and spirit of National Taipei University of Education.

The art exhibition took place from November 6th to November 18th,2023, at the Wu Sha Residence in Yilan County. An opening ceremony was held on November 11th, featuring a heartfelt performance by alumna and vocal artist Wen-Hsiu Chien. Her sincere singing expressed admiration for the dedication and hard work of these alumni in the field of art.

We extend our gratitude to the enthusiastic participation of alumni artists, including Fu-Fan Chou, Lung-Jung Wu, Hsi Hsu, Zhi-Cai Li, Chang-Chung Kuo, Chao-Sung Huang, Li-Chueh Chen, Chin-Chuan Chang, Tsung-Ming Chang, Fei Huang, Yueh-Ying Lin, Fang-Mei Feng, Ming-Te Chen, Chih-Fen Chen, Sung-Shu Liao, Hsin-Tung Chang, Fu-Chuan Lin, Kuo-Kuan Hsu, Hsin-Pin Chien, Po-Cheng Hsu, and current NTUE student Wu Yun-Chin, totaling 21 participants. The exhibited works encompass oil paintings, watercolor paintings, ink paintings, calligraphy, and more.

Yilan is recognized nationwide as a cradle for nurturing artistic talent. Its unique blend of natural beauty and outstanding individuals has given rise to many renowned artists, including Yang Li-Hua in Taiwanese opera, sculptor Yang Ying-Feng, watercolorist Lan Yin-Ding, and literary figure Huang Chun-Ming.

Through the organization of this alumni art exhibition, we aimed to showcase the vitality and artistic lifestyle of our alumni. We express our heartfelt thanks to art enthusiasts from all over the country who visited Yilan during the weekend to enjoy the exhibition, offering warm applause to the artists.
